Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatrician Consultant to join our team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hold a MBChB or equivalent degree
  • Have a postgraduate qualification in MRCPCH or equivalent
  • Completion of general professional training in paediatric medicine
  • Completion of higher specialist training in paediatric medicine and be on the specialist register or within 6 months of obtaining CCT or equivalent
Desirable Qualifications
  • MD, PhD or other higher degree
  • Experience in assessing and examining children and young people where there are safeguarding concerns
Teaching and Audit
  • Teaching and audit experience of teaching medical students
  • Experience of teaching junior medical staff
Academic Achievements and Research
  • Publications in peer-reviewed journals or demonstrable commitment to developing research in the Trust
  • Research interests relating to paediatrics
