Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) Manager to join our team at Jacob Thomas Associates. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and implementing SHE initiatives across the company, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and driving continuous improvement in SHE performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain SHE policies, procedures, and standards in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess compliance and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SHE considerations into their business processes.
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and non-conformances, and lead the development and implementation of corrective and preventative actions.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for SHE-related inquiries from all stakeholders within the company.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrable understanding of SHE legislation with experience within the manufacturing sector.
  • Experience in successfully dealing with external regulatory bodies.
  • Hold NEBOSH certificate or equivalent.
  • Ability to write RAMs, SSOW, and SOP.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001), and strong leadership skills.
  • Experience of Accident/Incident Investigation.
  • Flexible and committed to achieving team/site objectives.
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to work to targets and timescales.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Commitment to self-development and team development.
  • Good Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
