**Job Summary**

Role Overview

The London Borough of Tower Hamlets seeks an experienced social worker to join its Children's Placement Team. As a Regulatory Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring placement stability and regulatory oversight in children's care services.

Your primary focus will be on quality assurance, supporting management in regulating homes and providers to meet local and national standards. This involves conducting regular audits and inspections to monitor performance and adherence, as well as providing timely improvement recommendations.

You will also implement strategies to minimize placement disruptions, ensuring the well-being of children in care. This may involve developing and supporting tailored packages to meet individual needs, promoting health, emotional well-being, and social development.

Additionally, you will oversee the collection, review, and security of compliance documents, conduct risk assessments for health and safety adherence, and engage with providers to drive continuous improvement across services.

This role requires strong knowledge of relevant legislation, guidance, and health and safety regulations, particularly as they apply to children's homes. You must possess excellent communication skills, be adaptable to change, and take accountability in challenging situations.

A minimum undergraduate degree in a related field is required, along with demonstrated experience in a regulatory or quality assurance role within children's services.

Salary: £42,477 - £49,352 per annum
