Exciting Opportunity for a Contracts and Procurement Lawyer

Sellick Partnership Limited - Public Sector is currently recruiting for a talented Contracts and Procurement Lawyer to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Legal Executive to work on a locum contract basis with a well-respected London Council.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working within the Public Sector, ideally within a Local Authority. They will be responsible for providing legal advice and assistance on Contracts, Procurement, Corporate and Commercial Law, Data Protection, and Competition Law.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advising on construction contracts, including JCT and NEC Contracts
  • Providing legal advice on procurement of various contracts, including Works and Services, Concession Contracts, Waste Contracts, Building and Construction Contracts, and Back to Back Agreements
  • Interpreting contracts and other legal documentation, and responsible for complex drafting and execution
  • Acting on behalf of the Council in respect of procurement and contracts

The successful candidate will have good knowledge of public procurement and be able to work autonomously with a high level of professionalism. They will be joining a friendly and supportive team and will have the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging projects.
