About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Reliability Maintenance Engineering team at Amazon UK Services Ltd. As an RME Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining the reliability and efficiency of our equipment and workspaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform proactive and preventative maintenance tasks on a wide range of site equipment
  • Carry out reactive repairs and fault diagnosis in a live distribution warehouse
  • Use the latest tools to maximize equipment effectiveness
  • Uphold all health and safety policies and practices
  • Support the development and progression of on-site apprentices
  • Work on continuous improvement projects and roll out best practices across a range of EU sites
A Day in the Life

As an RME Technician, you will be based on-site, responding quickly to any machinery issues. You will carry out a range of planned preventative maintenance to our sites' equipment to ensure it is working safely. You will also respond promptly to breakdowns, investigating, finding, and implementing solutions as quickly as possible. You will make suggestions for long-term improvements and work alongside senior colleagues to undertake day-to-day maintenance tasks.

About the Team

Our Reliability Maintenance Engineering team is a technically minded team, made up of excellent team players and guided by experienced leaders. We work together to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment across our global network of fulfilment centres. We handle most aspects of Amazon's technical side, including keeping buildings legally compliant and our sites operating at maximum efficiency.

Requirements
  • Served a full Engineering indentured apprenticeship and/or qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a relevant Engineering subject
  • Relevant experience as a qualified engineer
  • Relevant experience working in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance
  • Advanced proficiency in the local language verbally and in writing
