We are seeking a talented graduate to join our team as a trainee patent attorney in our Software, Electronics and Engineering practice area. This is an excellent opportunity to develop a career in intellectual property law and work with a diverse client base worldwide.
As a trainee patent attorney, you will be supported to achieve qualification as a chartered UK and European patent attorney. Our comprehensive in-house 'Training Academy' provides tutorials, lectures, mentoring, and supervision from partners and other qualified attorneys. You will also gain commercial skills, such as business development and client care, as part of our ongoing personal development programme.
Our team is looking for individuals with a strong scientific background in physics, software, or electrical engineering. You will need to have gained (or be expecting to achieve) at least a 2:1 degree in your subject. We welcome applications from those completing a doctorate, undertaking postgraduate research, or working in industry.
We require excellent communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to draft comprehensive documents and defend complex legal arguments. If you are interested in the commercial world and have a natural curiosity to find out how things work, we encourage you to apply.
