Job Title: Electrical and Electronics Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical and Electronics Engineer to join our Advanced Technology Organisation (ATO) at Bishops Cleeve. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for defining the hardware scope and functionality of our new products, working closely with the project team through the concept development and prototype design phases, and supporting transition into production.

This is a multi-faceted role that requires a high degree of autonomy, with a strong focus on design, analysis, requirements management, and testing for power electronics hardware in an R&D setting. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from aircraft electrification research to high-voltage, high-power systems, always with safety foremost.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design prototype product hardware architecture in collaboration with the systems, software, mechanical, and tools teams.
  • Develop a deep understanding of aircraft electrical power and avionics systems, including electric and hybrid vehicles.
  • Work with customers to develop concepts for their new aircraft.
  • Travel locally and internationally as required.
Requirements:
  • Degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering or science subject.
  • Desirable - Master's or PhD in a relevant subject.
  • Experience working as an Electrical/Electronic Engineer in the aerospace, automotive, or industrial sectors.
  • Good understanding of electrical power systems, vehicle systems, or display systems.

  • Exceptional design skills with the ability to resolve multi-variable, multi-domain trade studies to optimize designs.
  • Strong analogue electronics design experience.
