West Berkshire Council is seeking a highly skilled Property Asset Officer to join our Finance and Property Service. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in the management and maintenance of the Council's property portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct property inspections, surveys, and valuations to ensure optimal asset utilization.
  • Manage lease agreements and property transactions to minimize risks and maximize returns.
  • Provide expert advice on property-related matters to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations to maintain a high level of governance.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver effective property solutions that meet the Council's objectives.
Requirements
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in property asset management, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines.
  • A professional qualification in a relevant field (e.g., RICS) is desirable but not essential.
