Key Responsibilities

As a Property Asset Officer with West Berkshire Council, you will play a crucial role in the management and maintenance of the Council's property portfolio.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting property inspections, surveys, and valuations to ensure optimal asset utilization.
  • Managing lease agreements and property transactions to maximize returns.
  • Providing expert advice on property-related matters to inform strategic decisions.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations to mitigate risk.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver effective property solutions.
Requirements

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in property asset management.
  • A strong understanding of relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • A professional qualification in a relevant field (e.g., RICS) is desirable but not essential.
