Job Description

As a Senior Fire Service Instructor at Capita's Fire Service College, you will play a critical role in training and developing the next generation of firefighting professionals. This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading organization in fire prevention and protection, providing assessed, accredited, and assured fire and multi-service training for emergency service professionals globally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Training and Development: Design and deliver comprehensive training programs for new firefighting recruits, focusing on operational and Road Traffic Collision Incidents (RTCI) as well as the fundamentals of firefighting.
  • Ongoing Assessment: Continuously assess delegates to ensure they meet the required standards and provide feedback for improvement.
  • Safety Officer: Act as a Safety Officer during live fire exercises, promoting a positive attitude towards the development and maintenance of a Health and Safety culture.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience of training new recruits in a firefighting training environment is essential.
  • Desirable Skills: Experience of working in local authority Fire & Rescue Service is desirable, along with excellent communication, both verbal and written, and basic understanding of IT Systems experience (MS Office).
