Job Title: Senior Fire Service Instructor

Capita's Fire Service College is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Fire Service Instructor to join our team. As a Senior Fire Service Instructor, you will be responsible for training groups of new firefighting recruits in both classroom and practical environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality training to new recruits in firefighting techniques and procedures
  • Assess and evaluate the performance of trainees
  • Act as Safety Officer during live fire exercises, promoting a positive attitude towards health and safety
  • Develop and maintain training materials and resources
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in training new recruits in a firefighting training environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic understanding of IT systems and Microsoft Office
  • Desirable: experience working in a local authority Fire & Rescue Service
