A top opportunity is available for an exceptional Assistant Hospitality Manager to work within Sodexo's global headquarters at London Waterloo on the vibrant Southbank.

Your primary focus will be to oversee the day-to-day management of our client's large corporate floor space, covering all services and onsite meetings/events. This encompasses catering, visitor collection, special requests, and liaison with other Sodexo departments. As the Assistant Hospitality Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of various key areas, including monitoring coffee machine functionality, maintaining fridge temperature standards, coordinating catering services, welcoming staff, and collaborating closely with chefs to guarantee successful event execution.

This outstanding chance will suit a creative individual who can professionally deliver a high-quality service to all floor users. We are looking for someone passionate about delivering a high-end 5* service, with excellent stakeholder and leadership skills. An events management background would be highly desirable. Event days may require flexible working hours, with shifts that may start early and finish late.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support the preparation and presentation of all meals and service at the required time, ensuring that all food is prepared with due care and attention, particularly regarding customers and allergens.
  • Organize any special functions as required, some of which may occur outside of normal working hours, and work closely with the Hospitality Manager and Events Coordinator.
  • Evaluate and maintain the Company's accountancy, documentation, and administration procedures, ensuring accurate completion and timely submission of weekly returns.
  • Collaborate with the Hospitality Manager and Head Chef to drive the delivery and development of the food offer, services, and events through commercial initiatives, innovation, and team development.
  • Manage the front of house hospitality team, working closely with the chef team to produce and serve the catering, and promote a 'can do' multi-skilled one-team ethos across departments.
  • Monitor and support the site budget, ensuring it is met and exceeded, and maintain company audits and documentation to the required standard.
  • Demonstrate passion, drive, and great customer service expected at a flagship London corporate head office.
Key Requirements
  • Strong literacy, numeracy, and financial acumen with experience managing budgets.
  • Previous catering experience in a similar environment.
  • Proven ability to manage time effectively, work under pressure, and meet hygiene standards.
  • Experience in delivering training and supporting team development.
  • Relevant qualifications (IOSH Managing Safely, Food Safety) and computer literacy.
