We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our special school team. As a key member of our staff, you will provide essential support to our teaching staff, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our pupils.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support teaching staff in managing pupil behaviour and undertaking pupil record keeping.
  • Supervise and support pupils, ensuring their safety and access to learning.
  • Establish good relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and responding appropriately to individual needs.
  • Encourage pupils to interact and engage in activities led by the teacher.
  • Participate in students' behaviour programmes and be aware of their Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP).
Requirements
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Ability to react constructively to challenging situations.
  • Experience in dealing with emotional and physical challenges presented by pupils.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • Commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children and young people.
  • Willingness to participate in development and training opportunities.
