Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Nuclear Regulator to join our team. As a Senior Nuclear Regulator, you will be responsible for providing specialist advice, guidance, and support to our senior managers and external partners. You will also be responsible for developing, reviewing, and improving technical documentation to ensure consistent and appropriate application in the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist advice, guidance, and support to senior managers and external partners
  • Develop, review, and improve technical documentation
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with internal and external partners
  • Develop and implement systems and tools for monitoring and reporting on service delivery
  • Develop, maintain, and share technical expertise with staff
  • Lead or support local and national project teams to deliver environmental outcomes
Requirements
  • Scientific degree or equivalent vocational experience
  • Proven experience and sound knowledge of relevant UK legislation
  • Appreciation of the challenges the industry faces
  • Experience of leading compliance audit and inspection programmes at nuclear sites
  • Ability to assess technical information relating to radioactive waste
  • Ability to advise customers on legislation and standards
