A highly successful mixed-sex Secondary School in London is seeking ambitious graduates and aspiring teachers. This Graduate Teaching Assistant role provides an excellent opportunity for recent graduates to gain valuable insight into life within a thriving school and serves as a stepping stone prior to teacher training.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, which can be gained through volunteering or tutoring. This experience does not need to be classroom-based.

The role involves providing academic and pastoral support to Key Stage 3, 4, and 5 students, delivering targeted SEN and EAL intervention sessions, and working in a well-resourced Ofsted Good mixed-sex Secondary School and Sixth Form on track to achieve Outstanding status.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff to share this commitment. The successful candidate will undergo enhanced clearance through the Disclosure and Barring Service and undergo reference checks.
This is a full-time, long-term role that spans the entire academic year, offering a competitive salary of £85-£100 per day, depending on experience. Located in Sutton, South London, the school boasts great public transport links.
Key aspects of the Graduate Teaching Assistant role include:
- Providing academic support to students across various key stages
- Delivering targeted intervention sessions for students with special educational needs (SEN) and English as an Additional Language (EAL)
- Working closely with the school's teaching staff to ensure effective student support
