About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our team at Phoenix Learning and Care Group. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our young residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead shifts and provide guidance to junior staff members
  • Support the Registered Manager with recruitment, supervision, meetings, and inspections
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to promote the well-being and independence of our residents
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as therapists and healthcare providers, to ensure comprehensive care
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of resident progress and care plans

Requirements:

  • Patience, compassion, and resilience in working with vulnerable young people
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexibly, including sleep-ins and on-call shifts
  • Valid driving license and willingness to transport residents
  • Qualification in residential childcare or willingness to obtain within the first two years of employment
