About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our team at Phoenix Learning & Care Group. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our young residents, ensuring they receive the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead shifts and support the Registered Manager with recruitment, supervision, meetings, and inspections.
  • Support children to achieve their full potential, promoting their physical, emotional, and educational development.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of our residents, monitoring their development and updating records as necessary.
  • Participate in our on-call rota, providing additional support and guidance to colleagues as needed.

Requirements:

  • Patience, compassion, and resilience, with the ability to work with children who may have experienced trauma.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with colleagues, residents, and external agencies.
  • A driving license, with the ability to transport residents to appointments and activities.
  • Flexibility, with the ability to work varied shifts, including sleep-ins and on-call duties.
  • A qualification in residential childcare, or a willingness to obtain one within the first two years of employment.
