Job Title: Senior Planning Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Planning Consultant to join our team at Norse Consulting. As a Senior Planning Consultant, you will play a key role in providing expert planning and development advice to clients, managing and developing individuals, and maintaining and growing relationships with existing and new clients.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Work within various timescales and briefs set out by clients and manage the caseload accordingly
  • Provide effective planning and development advice to clients
  • Maintain outputs of appropriate quality and seek to maximise the development potential/optimise the value of sites to meet clients requirements
  • Identify the planning potential of sites including investigating site opportunities and constraints and assessing development potential
  • Prepare specific planning / development schemes and promote these through the planning process to meet client requirements
  • Submit appropriate planning and associated applications, progress appeals and make representations as may be necessary, including negotiating on S and other planning obligations/agreements
  • Undertake development appraisals, planning briefs and masterplans of land/buildings and prepare schemes to maximise development potential/optimise the value of sites to deliver best value to meet clients requirements
  • Assist in the identification and realisation of new business opportunities with a focus on planning services
  • Fee earning at 90% and contribute to the achievement of business plan objectives and targets
Requirements:
  • Professional Chartered Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent in a related discipline
  • Demonstrate significant relevant experience with at least 5 years post qualification
  • Familiar with relevant construction, health and safety legislation and risks and hazards
  • Hold a current CSCS site card or prepared to attain
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Full UK Driving Licence
