Job Overview

Position: Special Needs Teaching Assistant

Location: Reading, UK

Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday

Estimated Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 per annum (based on experience)

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide individualised support to students with diverse needs.

Your Day-to-Day
  • Support students with personal care tasks such as toileting, dressing, and feeding
  • Assist with academic and social activities in the classroom
  • Communicate effectively with teachers and other staff members to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
Requirements
  • Empathy and Patience: A natural ability to connect with and understand the needs of children
  • Experience Matters: Personal or professional experience with special needs, whether in education, caregiving, or a related setting
  • Adaptability: Willingness to adjust to different teaching environments and assist with personal care tasks
  • Strong Communication Skills: Proficiency in English to effectively interact and support students and staff
