About the Role
The University of Northampton is seeking a highly qualified and experienced midwife to join our team as a Lecturer in Midwifery. As a key member of the Health Professions Subject group within the Faculty of Health, Education and Society, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality education and research to undergraduate students.

This part-time position involves teaching, assessing, and supervising students on pre-registration Midwifery courses, as well as contributing to the development of postgraduate and CPD portfolios. You will be based at our Waterside campus, with occasional travel required to practice learning partner sites. The successful candidate will have a strong passion for midwifery education and curriculum design, with experience in leadership, clinical practice, and research methodology. They will also possess an understanding of using research methodology and a commitment to the University's research agenda.

If you are a fellow of the Higher Education Academy or willing to work towards application, we encourage you to apply. Additionally, candidates with qualifications in Systematic Physical Examination of the Newborn (NIPE) and Professional Midwifery Advocate (PMA) are highly desirable.
