Business Support Administrator

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to the Local Policing / Crime & PPU / Intel / SSID department, including producing correspondence, booking meetings, and maintaining decision and action logs.
  • Manage a comprehensive electronic filing system, utilizing SharePoint and OneNote, to ensure efficient storage and retrieval of departmental correspondence and key documents.
  • Diary management, including booking meetings, rooms, and travel arrangements, to ensure seamless coordination of team activities.
  • Provide transactional itinerary planning, ensuring timely and effective travel arrangements.
  • Support team colleagues as required, including covering administrative tasks and resolving ICT technical problems.
  • Control and handle documents in accordance with protective marking requirements.
  • Facilitate the completion of individual and departmental records, including time sheets, expenses, and hospitality paperwork.
Requirements:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for correspondence and reports.
  • Strong administrative experience, with a proven ability to organize meetings and manage deadlines.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize workloads, and maintain a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office, MS Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, with a customer-focused approach.
