About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Project Worker to join our team at Sanctuary Supported Living, specifically at our Plymouth Domestic Abuse Services location. As a Project Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting clients and promoting their independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular assessments of client needs, developing and updating support plans to ensure effective access to education, training, and employment opportunities.
  • Assist clients with managing finances and welfare benefits, promoting financial stability and security.
  • Encourage social inclusion and help clients build confidence, resilience, and self-esteem through various activities and support.
  • Collaborate with statutory and non-statutory agencies on behalf of clients, advocating for their needs and promoting choice and involvement.
  • Promote safe working practices by conducting risk assessments within legislative frameworks.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a role supporting victims of domestic abuse or a background in a supported living environment as a Project Worker.
  • Sound knowledge of housing management, including voids and arrears management.
  • Good understanding of occupancy agreements.
  • Ability to react effectively under pressure and work independently to find innovative solutions to problems.
  • Empathetic and non-judgmental approach with excellent interpersonal and customer care skills.
  • NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards it.
