About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Swimming Instructor to join our team at Wigan Council. As a Swimming Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching swimming lessons to individuals and groups, promoting water safety and confidence in the water.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach swimming lessons to individuals and groups, including school groups and LTS programmes
  • Develop and deliver swimming programmes to meet the needs of our customers
  • Work collaboratively with other leisure centre staff to deliver a high-quality service
  • Contribute to the development of swimming programmes and services
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience of teaching swimming lessons to individuals and groups
  • Knowledge of swimming programmes and services
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
