About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Manager to join our team at Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board. As a key member of our Mental Health and Learning Disabilities Care Group, you will play a crucial role in developing and delivering timely, evidence-based, and highly specialist psychological therapeutic interventions for individuals accessing our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide line management and supervision to clinical and counselling psychologists, ensuring a seamless provision of healthcare.
  • Recruit and manage staff, ensuring appropriate line management and supervision is in place for all members of the CMHT psychology specialty.
  • Ensure compliance with clinical governance, audit, ethics, and research for the services you lead and manage.
  • Develop and refine highly specialist programmes of psychological treatment for the service user group, taking into account the complex nature of their presentation.
  • Provide expert advice, guidance, and clinical consultation to other professionals within the wider Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB community.
Requirements
  • Doctoral level training in clinical or counselling psychology, or its equivalent for those trained prior to 2000.
  • Significant post-graduate training/qualification in a systematic therapist such as CAT, CBT, DBT, or other recognised modality.
  • Accredited by Health and Care Professions Council, HCPC.
