Job Title: Content Editor - Sports Copywriter


At Frasers Group, we're rethinking retail. Our Content Editor - Sports Copywriter will be responsible for developing and delivering compelling copy across the Sports Direct ecosystem. Guided by our brand strategy and tone of voice, they'll curate engaging content for sports and lifestyle audiences, including football, running, training, outdoor, and USC.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop and deliver copy for social media, app/site, CRM, and paid social campaigns.
  • Curate content for the Sports Direct editorial platform, driven by insights and commercial priorities.
  • Write high-engagement social media content that reflects our brand voice and tonality.
  • Help write and edit scripts with the directors and video team.
  • Interview athletes, influencers, and campaign subjects.
  • Review and edit campaign proposal decks.
  • Produce punchy OOH copy concepts.
  • Re-write and update information on websites and in company materials.
  • Write original copy and edit content for internal marketing and communications materials.

Requirements:



  • Excellent writing ability, including the ability to write in different styles.
  • Strong listening skills to understand business needs and develop project briefs.
  • Ability to understand target audiences and write for them.
  • Good research and analytical skills to gain accurate understanding of subjects.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Creative approach to coming up with ideas and getting messages across.
  • Ability to work independently and flexibly with a positive can-do mentality.
  • Excellent attention to detail, including proofreading own and others' work.
  • Understanding of SEO and its impact on content.
  • Solution-orientated mindset and passion for keeping active and up to date with the sporting landscape.
