Procurement Specialist for UK Government Programs

About the JobWe are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our UK & Europe team. As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for managing procurement activities that span the entire cycle, including negotiation of agreements, preparation of solicitation packages, evaluation of proposals, price analysis, and administration of subcontracts.
This role is perfect for a motivated individual who can work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and experience in procurement, working with a range of stakeholders, including internal customers, suppliers, and program managers.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of procurement processes and procedures, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
About the Role
- Manage procurement activities from initiation to closeout, ensuring compliance with Leidos policies and procedures.
- Negotiate agreements with suppliers, including non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and teaming agreements.
- Prepare and issue solicitation packages to suppliers, evaluating their responses and conducting price analysis.
- Administer subcontracts, including subcontract administration, issue resolution, and closeout activities.
- Work closely with program managers, contracts, project control, finance, business development, and customers to ensure seamless delivery of procurement services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field, such as procurement, supply chain management, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in procurement, preferably in a similar role within the defence or government sector.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes and procedures, including contract law and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Basic knowledge of English or Scottish Law.
- MS Office proficiency.

At Leidos, we offer a competitive salary package, including a base salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits, including contributory pension scheme, private medical insurance, 33 days annual leave, and flexible benefits.
