Job Summary
We are seeking an IT Server Administrator to join our team in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows server-based systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Hands-on and multi-tasking: installation, upgrades, configuration, administration, and maintenance of Windows server-based systems
- Manage local and remote office projects from beginning to end
- Maintain bespoke application environments for Trading application infrastructure; upgrade, patch, provision
- Vendor management, providers, and other internal business teams
- Cover working hours between 8am - 6pm, with occasional extended hours and weekend work
- BAU 3rd line support and occasional 1st and 2nd level support escalation
- May be required to travel to remote office locations
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position
- Preferably Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering or related active IT certifications
- Proficient in Windows Server Administration (Windows 2016 and above), Windows Core experience beneficial
- Proficient VMware ESXi and vCenter administration (7.0 at least), including experience with the upgrade cycle
- Proficient in Veeam backup technologies
- Proficient in Active Directory Domain Services administration, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies
- SQL Server Administration, Installation, configuration
- Centreon Monitoring Platform
- Proficient in Citrix XenApp & Desktop 7.x, NetScaler ADC, Citrix Studio/Director
- Good experience working with Exchange Server Administration (Exchange 2016) - mailbox management, retention policies, message troubleshooting, and SMTP relay settings
- Good experience working with NetApp storage (FAS and E-Series), NFS/CIFS protocols, and NetApp backups solutions, would be a plus
- Enhance team productivity and repetitive tasks by using batch files, PowerShell, and VB Script
- Manage Microsoft patch cycle and deploy patches to Servers using SCCM
- Good working knowledge of SCCM
- Global Networking topology understanding (DMZ, load balancing, firewall, VLANs, etc...)
- Proficient experience working with datacenters (racking hardware, patching, and HPE iLO configuration)
- Knowledge and understanding of ITIL Framework, Change Management
