The Opportunity

Poundstretcher is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented HR Administrator to join their small, busy HR team. As a key member of the team, you will contribute to the development of an effective HR function by providing top-level administration services.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage employee onboarding, including producing contracts of employment and offer letters
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of security clearance paperwork for new store management
  • Process employment references and maintain employee records
  • Administer absence and sickness management, including updating personnel files
  • Update job vacancies on the company intranet and internet
  • Support HR projects and administration, including absence, disciplinary, and long-term sick letters
  • Set up and maintain personnel files for new store management starters
  • Process authorization forms for new starters and salary increases
  • Filing and archiving of HR documents
  • Provide excellent customer service to stores via phone

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent organizational and administration skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment using initiative
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Highly organized, methodical approach with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work to deadlines and prioritize workload
  • Customer service-focused approach
