Job Description

We are a leading social landlord, managing over 7,000 homes in London and Hertfordshire. Our mission is to provide affordable housing and related care and support services to the people who live in them.

This role is part of our commitment to supporting young people in our communities. As a Youth Support Worker, you will deliver a high-quality support service to young people who are Care Leavers and Unaccompanied Minors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group support to young people, promoting their independence, wellbeing, and inclusion.
  • Work in partnership with professionals from other organisations that support young people, such as social care, physical/sexual/mental health, police, education, youth offending teams, substance misuse, and local authorities.
  • Maintain accurate records of needs assessments, risk assessments, support plans, outcomes, and case notes.
  • Support young people to deal with anti-social behaviour, incidents, and neighbour disputes.
Requirements
  • A motivational approach and experience of working effectively within a team.
  • Good understanding of safeguarding young people, risk assessment, and management of incidents.
  • Experience of using your initiative and managing challenging situations and behaviour.
  • Confident communication across all channels and experience of maintaining up-to-date written records, support plans, and risk assessments.
