Specialist Teacher for Students with Hearing Impairments and Learning Difficulties

About the Role:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Specialist Teacher to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and supporting students with hearing impairments and learning difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the learning and development of a small group of learners with hearing impairments and learning difficulties.
- Deliver a blend of academic and vocational studies to prepare students for adulthood and life beyond education.
- Work closely with a team of support staff to ensure the students receive the best possible support.
- Be responsible for leading and managing a small team of support staff.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification.
- Experience teaching post-16 students.
- Previous experience working closely with students with additional needs.
- BSL qualification (level 1, 2 or 3).
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to make decisions.
- Proactive, resilient and a real passion for making a difference.
- A willingness to learn and develop.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service.
