CV Library is seeking a skilled HVAC BIM Technician to join our team. As a leading mechanical engineering contractor, we specialize in designing and implementing HVAC and plumbing systems for specialized environments such as laboratories and clean rooms.

Job Description:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced HVAC BIM Technician to create detailed, accurate, and coordinated 3D models for HVAC systems within laboratories and clean rooms. The successful candidate will work closely with design engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure that the HVAC models meet both project specifications and industry standards.

  1. Develop and manage detailed 3D BIM models for HVAC systems in laboratories and clean rooms, ensuring compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
  2. Coordinate with engineers and other trades to ensure an integrated design approach across all building systems.
  3. Create and maintain accurate, data-rich BIM models using Revit, AutoCAD MEP, and other industry-standard software.
  4. Implement and adhere to project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and workflows, ensuring all BIM deliverables are met on time.
  5. Collaborate with project managers and design teams to provide clash detection and resolve issues early in the design process.
  6. Prepare 2D/3D design documentation and drawings for internal review and client submissions.
  7. Support project teams by providing technical guidance on HVAC systems for labs and clean rooms, ensuring compliance with ISO standards and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
  8. Conduct quality checks and reviews of BIM models to ensure accuracy and adherence to industry standards (BS EN ISO 14644 for clean rooms, etc.).
  9. Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in BIM and HVAC systems for specialized environments.
Qualifications & Skills:
  1. Proven experience as an HVAC BIM Technician, with a focus on laboratories, clean rooms, and controlled environments.
  2. Proficiency in BIM software, particularly Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD MEP.
  3. Strong knowledge of HVAC design principles and clean room standards (ISO 14644, ASHRAE guidelines, GMP, etc.).
  4. Familiarity with BIM Level 2 and other UK BIM standards.
  5. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  6. Degree or certification in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or related field.
  7. Experience working on large-scale laboratory, pharmaceutical, or healthcare projects.
  8. Knowledge of local regulations and industry requirements in the Berkshire area and across the UK.
  9. Understanding of sustainability standards and practices in HVAC design (LEED, BREEAM).
