About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Editorial Assistant to join our dynamic Peer Review Administration Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the peer review process for a portfolio of journals in various STM subject areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the peer review process for a set portfolio of journals, including building and maintaining key stakeholder relations and collaboration.
  • Research and propose innovative development and efficiencies to improve the peer review process.
  • Work collaboratively with the PRA Team to share best practices and contribute to discussions.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for queries related to manuscript processing from pre- to post-peer-review.
About You

We are looking for a well-organized individual with a passion for data management, accuracy, and excellent communication skills. You will have a strong understanding of academic journals publishing and be eager to progress your career.

To be successful in this role, you will work proactively and autonomously, ensuring smooth peer review processing while continuing to provide efficiencies.

Requirements
  • Knowledge of submission platforms (preferably ScholarOne Manuscripts and Editorial Manager) and proficiency in using systems and software.
  • Extensive knowledge of publishing workflows and processes, including peer review.
  • Proven skills in delivering training.
  • IT skills with proficiency in Office.
