We are seeking a passionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at an outstanding mainstream primary school in North London. The successful candidate will work in Year 4, supporting a group of 7 children with EHCPs, including ASD, ADHD, learning and cognition, and Speech and Language needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to children with SEN, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, speech therapists, and other support staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, ensuring that children with SEN are fully included in the curriculum.
  • Use a range of strategies and techniques to support children with SEN, including phonics, Makaton, PECs, and Colourful Semantics.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture, promoting the well-being and self-esteem of all children.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with SEN in a school or childcare setting is desirable, but not essential.
  • A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a commitment to providing high-quality support to children with SEN.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, staff, and parents.
  • A calm and patient demeanor, with the ability to provide a safe and supportive environment for children with SEN.
