Quality Assurance Role

Hampshire County Council seeks a Quality Assurance Specialist to support the implementation and maintenance of ISO quality standards.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Quality Manager to ensure compliance with the Forensic Science Regulator's requirements across Hampshire Constabulary and partner agencies.

The role involves deputising for the Quality Manager, training and developing staff, and maintaining relationships with UKAS and laboratory managers.

The ideal candidate will have experience of coordinating an accredited ISO quality management system and a strong understanding of root cause analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. To deputise for the Quality Manager and make decisions regarding the quality management systems.
  2. To train and develop staff in support of overall business goals.
  3. To maintain relationships with UKAS and laboratory managers.
  4. To ensure the promotion of awareness of customer requirements.
  5. To evaluate identified risk, complaint and Non-Conformance investigation outcomes.
  6. To facilitate the control of suppliers used by Hampshire Scientific Services.
  7. To analyse data on the effectiveness of the QMS and evaluate where continual improvements can be made.

Essential Qualifications:

Educated to QCF Level 3 in a relevant technical subject or have relevant vocational experience.

QCF Level 3 in Learning & Development or similar for teaching adults.

Demonstrate experience of successfully coordinating an accredited ISO quality management system.

An understanding of root cause analysis and implementing effective corrections and corrective actions.
