The RoleWe are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor with experience in civils and groundworks to manage project costs, negotiate contracts, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
About the CompanyOur client is a well-established groundworks firm with a strong reputation in the industry. With multiple offices across the South East, they employ over 450 people and offer a range of services including RC frames, groundworks, ground remediation, and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and negotiate Bills of Quantities, tender packages, and contract documents
- Monitor and control project costs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving measures
- Manage risk and develop strategies to mitigate potential issues
- Forecast and report on project costs, ensuring accurate and timely financial information
- Attend project meetings and collaborate with design teams, clients, and sub-contractors
- Relevant degree in a related field
- Experience in civils and groundworks, preferably with a large groundworks company
- UK driving licence
- Competitive salary up to £55,000
- Car allowance
- Bonus scheme
