A leading financial institution in London requires an accomplished Interaction Designer / UX Designer to join their team for a challenging 6-month engagement.

Job Title: Senior UX Designer - Financial Services

Duration: 6 months

Location: London (2 days a week on site)

Start: Immediately

Salary: Circa £87,500 - £89,000 per annum with comprehensive benefits.

The ideal candidate will work collaboratively alongside a full design team and take ownership of their design output. They will be confident when presenting their work to stakeholders and able to adapt designs to reflect their feedback and feedback from user research and usability testing.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Demonstrable experience within User Experience Design/Interaction Design
  • Strong experience as an Interaction Designer or UX Designer (possibly from a Visual Design background)
  • Full ownership of the Interaction Design project
  • Skillfully craft the end-to-end user experience, bringing together a cohesive journey step by step, creatively using components from a central design system to determine the right balance of content and UI elements on screen.
  • Bring designs to life with a choice of prototyping software, such as Sketch, InVision, Figma, Axure, or Adobe XD
  • Excellent prototyping and layout skills which you can articulate clearly to internal customers and development teams.
  • Comfortable using existing design systems, proactively recommending new ways to improve and extend them to benefit both the project and other designers.
  • Ability to interpret quantitative and qualitative research and how this informs the interaction design process. Dedicated user research teams support designers with real data, providing valuable customer insights.
  • Familiarity working in a complex landscape - ideally, you'll have experience in financial services.
