Job Summary

We're seeking a Medical Transport Driver to provide safe transportation to clients while ensuring their safety and well-being. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for transporting clients to and from programming facilities, supervising clients during transportation, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe and legal vehicle practices at all times.
  • Transport clients to and from designated pick-up and drop-off areas.
  • Respond promptly to transportation requests.
  • Ensure vehicle is maintained and serviced.
  • Communicate vehicle maintenance needs in a timely manner.
  • Act as courier for mail or deliveries between program sites.
  • Assist in transporting or picking up client food.
  • Ensure client safety by using verbal de-escalation methods to redirect client behaviors and prevent/respond to crisis.
  • Practice compliance with all policies, record keeping requirements, checklist assignments, assigned documentation, and any other assigned duties.
  • Remain current and up to date on all training and certifications required to maintain employment with Newport Healthcare.
  • Provide support to assigned programs.

Qualifications

  • High School Degree or GED required.
  • Valid driver's license and eligibility for automobile insurance coverage with the company's vehicle.
  • Must have a clean driving record.
