Job Title: Behaviour Mentor

Location: Primary School

Job Description:

We are seeking a Behaviour Mentor to provide 1:1 support to a Reception pupil at a vibrant primary school in North London. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to develop strategies that promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide consistent 1:1 behavioural support during classroom activities, transitions, and playtime.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies to help the pupil navigate social and academic challenges.
  • Work closely with school staff to monitor progress and adjust support as needed.
  • Foster a calm and structured environment that encourages positive behaviour and learning.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Behaviour Mentor or in a similar role supporting children with ASC or behavioural needs.
  • A patient and understanding approach with the ability to provide clear and consistent guidance.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build a trusting relationship with the pupil.
  • A valid DBS check or willingness to obtain one through Reeson Education.
