Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Social Worker to join our Children and Families Duty Assessment team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the provision of good outcomes for children and young people in the Scottish Borders local authority area.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake initial assessments of risk and need, considering all information received, including cases that meet the threshold for child protection measures.
- Work directly with children and young people and their families to ensure, wherever possible, that they are helped to remain in their own homes and local communities.
- Practice in all communities in the Borders, linking in with local partner agency colleagues.
Requirements
- Appropriate social work qualification at degree or diploma level (DipSW).
- Registration with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
