About the Role

Sustrans is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Officer to join our team in Crawley. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering active travel initiatives in schools across Crawley, working in partnership with the Crawley Borough Council Sustainability Team.

As the successful candidate, you will have experience of leading physical activities or behaviour change projects for children and young people, and be skilled in the planning and delivery of events. You will be able to build relationships with ease across a wide range of people, adapting your communication skills to diverse audiences.

About You

You will be a confident communicator, able to engage with schools and communities across Crawley, developing and delivering activities and events that promote and enable all forms of active travel to school. You will contribute to the objectives of Sustrans and Crawley Borough Council, promoting the benefits of active travel.

This role will require travel and work at locations as necessary to undertake projects on behalf of Sustrans, providing training and support to school and community champions enabling them to independently run events and initiatives about Active Travel.
