Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Child Development Professional to join our team.

We offer a competitive salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity is for a Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist to work in our community clinics providing assessment, diagnosis, planning, and delivery of therapeutic services to children with speech and language difficulties.

You will be responsible for assessing, treating, managing, and prioritizing a designated caseload of children with speech, language, and communication needs.

As a member of our team, you will provide advice to parents and other professionals to support the needs of children with speech, language, and communication difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • To independently assess, diagnose, plan, and deliver an appropriate therapeutic service to children who have any type of speech and language / communication difficulty.
  • To analyze complex cases in order to inform decision-making for case management and design appropriate evidence-based interventions to meet the needs of children aged 0-19 referred to the SLT service.
  • To provide timely reports to parents/carers and other professionals to ensure that the child's needs are appropriately identified.
  • To contribute to Individual Education Plans and write EHC Plans to SEND Casework Officers in line with the SEND graduated pathway.
