Senior Fund Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Fund Accountant to join our team at Aztec Group. As a Senior Fund Accountant, you will play a key role in the day-to-day accounting of fund structures, working closely with our Financial Reporting Manager to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:- Bookkeep a complex range of funds, management companies, and associated fund structures, liaising with clients and intermediaries to ensure seamless communication.
- Complete all aspects of accounting matters for a portfolio of fund structures, including the preparation, reconciliation, and proofing of investor reports, statutory financial statements, and ad hoc investor queries.
- Deal with the completion of routine audit queries, ensuring that all financial information is accurate and up-to-date.
- Prepare periodic bank reconciliations and provide supporting documentation evidencing transactions are completed within a robust control environment.
- Maintain accurate records on eFront and Microsoft Excel working paper schedules for all aspects of accounting.
- Ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices and other payments, working closely with our finance team to ensure smooth operations.
- Act as a mentor to junior staff under the supervision of senior staff, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
- At least part-qualified with a relevant professional qualification (preferably having commenced ACCA Professional level or ACA Advanced level).
- Experience of the preparation of statutory financial statements is essential.
- Reviewing statutory accounts is desirable.
- Sound technical financial services knowledge, supported through the Aztec Academy.
- Computer literacy skills are essential.
- Previous coaching/mentoring of junior staff would be beneficial.
