Investment Portfolio Analyst

Contract Position

Remote with Occasional Office Visits

Our esteemed client in the Energy sector is seeking a skilled Investment Portfolio Analyst to contribute to their operations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute daily tasks essential for delivering core functions, including the compilation of RAID, resource allocation, financial data, planning metrics, and other management information.
  • Facilitate secretariat functions such as organizing meetings, preparing minutes, and tracking action items.
  • Comply with all reporting standards and initiate enhancements where necessary.
  • Assist delivery leads in monitoring their financial allocations.
  • Ensure adherence to reporting and financial standards, intervening when deviations occur.
  • Oversee the creation and consolidation of reports, utilizing appropriate templates and tools to meet deadlines.
  • Maintain and uphold portfolio policies and procedures.
  • Guide Delivery Leads in the daily management of project governance processes and methodologies.
  • Coordinate with Delivery Leads regarding commercial engagements and billing inquiries.
  • Contribute to cybersecurity and data protection by following established protocols and reporting potential risks and incidents.

Business Acumen

Experience in Portfolio Office functions, employing collaborative skills to coach others and manage reporting cycles on large-scale projects, particularly in Agile environments.

Essential Skills and Expertise


• In-depth knowledge of delivery governance


• Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end project delivery


• Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Prince2, PMP, APM)


• Fundamental knowledge of project cost accounting


• Strong grasp of IT products, services, and systems, such as ADO for Agile project delivery


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a preference for ADO experience


• Experience applying various methodologies, including waterfall (e.g., Prince2, APM, PMP) and Agile, along with supporting governance, processes, and culture across different portfolio levels


• Advanced knowledge of development processes, including but not limited to DevOps, Scrum, Kanban, and lean development
