Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical & Electrical Technician to join our team at Thames Water. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our mechanical and electrical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Investigate and diagnose complex faults and carry out repairs to minimize disruptions to our customers.
  • Provide technical advice and support to the wider team, including training and guidance on new technologies and procedures.
  • Participate in a 24/7 out-of-hours standby rota to provide emergency support and maintenance.

Requirements:

  • ONC/HNC in engineering, NVQ, or C&G level 3 in Electrical engineering.
  • Qualification in mechanical NVQ 2/3 would also be beneficial.
  • A valid driving license is essential.
  • Previous experience in an electrical apprenticeship, with an 18th Edition qualification is essential.
  • Physically fit and able to work in confined spaces.
  • Knowledge and awareness of health and safety issues.
