We're writing a new chapter in the history of The Belfry, with a major expansion and renovation project underway. This investment will enhance our resort, including the addition of a new event space, more bedrooms, and a state-of-the-art leisure club. As a result, we're seeking an experienced Events Planner to join our Sales Team.

Job Overview

As an Events Planner at The Belfry, you'll work closely with the Sales Executive to ensure seamless event delivery. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Being the primary point of contact for clients during pre-planning stages
  • Creating detailed event function sheets to capture client requirements
  • General call handling to discuss event details and handle client inquiries
  • Conducting site visits, menu tastings, and final detail calls with clients
  • Booking and attending client meetings before and after events
  • Assisting with phone enquiries and covering reception duties during busy periods

Your Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a mid to large hotel sales team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Methodical approach with attention to detail
  • Computer literacy, particularly with hotel Property Management Systems (PMS)
  • Sales focus and enthusiasm, with excellent customer service skills
  • Flexibility and ability to work collaboratively within a team
