Job Description

Job Title: Assistant Design Manager

Job Summary:

United Living Group is seeking an experienced Assistant Design Manager to join our New Homes team. As a key member of our design management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of design and technical aspects of projects, working closely with our project Design Managers and external consultants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and interrogate consultants' and sub-contractors' drawings and documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Manage and drive external consultants in the preparation and issue of production information to an agreed programme.
  • Develop, control, and manage project-specific design programmes, coordinating technical information from start to completion.
  • Oversee document control, ensuring the registration and distribution of design and technical information.
  • Liaise with key personnel to prepare project costing and design works.
  • Review tenders to assess quality, identify value engineering opportunities, and collate consultants' costs.
  • Stay up-to-date on new products and modern methods of construction.
