Service Manager Opportunity

Avalon, a leading provider of innovative services to people with disabilities, is seeking an experienced Service Manager to join our team in Harrogate.

As a Service Manager, you will play a key role in the running of our established Harrogate service, working closely with our Locality Manager (Registered Manager) to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and support to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of Support Workers across Harrogate, Knaresborough, and Ripon, ensuring that care and support arrangements meet customer needs and outcomes.
  • Ensure the service is compliant with regulatory authorities and Avalon's quality assurance framework, including completion of finance and medication audits.
  • Assess and develop new packages, reviewing and maintaining existing packages to ensure support arrangements meet customer needs and outcomes.
  • Continuously improve services offered by Avalon by working positively with families and developing good relationships with service commissioners and care managers.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable management experience in social care and line managing a team.
  • Ability to interpret and apply CQC fundamental standards of quality and safety.
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • Valid car driver's license with use of a vehicle for business purposes.
  • Willingness to work from our office and within local services.
  • Ability to work flexibly and participate in the out-of-hours on-call service.
