Project Finance Coordinator

The Diocese of Canterbury is seeking a Project Finance Coordinator to support the finance team in managing restricted funds and preparing financial reports and schedules. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for analyzing project expenditure, preparing forecasts for project income, expenditure, and cash flow, and proactively reviewing the portfolio of restricted funds to ensure full utilization against unrestricted expenditure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze project expenditure to provide detailed commentary on material variances against project budget
- Prepare forecasts for project income, expenditure, and cash flow
- Proactively review the portfolio of restricted funds to ensure full utilization against unrestricted expenditure
- Support the team in preparing monthly reports and year-end schedules
Salary: £21,010 per annum, plus excellent benefits (£35,017 FTE)
Requirements:
- Degree qualified or with a professional accountancy, finance or related qualification (ideally ACCA or CIMA)
- Experience in year-end schedule preparation and project report writing
- Ability to interpret financial entries to understand the nature of financial transactions
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Proactive in reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and clearing/or allocating balances
