Commercial Air Conditioning Service and Breakdown Engineer

Birmingham, West Midlands

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Air Conditioning Service and Breakdown Engineer to join our team at Ppm Recruitment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Service and maintenance of air conditioning appliances within commercial and domestic properties.
  2. Air conditioning and electrical fault finding experience within commercial and domestic properties.

Main Duties:

  1. Attend service and reactive breakdowns to fault find, diagnose and repair in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  2. Using knowledge and air conditioning fault finding experience to provide high levels of first-time fix and customer care.
  3. Carry out day-to-day responsive maintenance, service and repairs as instructed.
  4. Carry out servicing and safety checks on all air conditioning systems.
  5. Make immediate decisions regarding repair requirements and inform the relevant director.
  6. Direct helpers engaged in assembly or installation of air conditioning systems or components.
  7. Maintain and keep up to date all training required to carry out the role.
  8. Accurately complete all relevant documentation associated with duties and ensure the prompt return to the office.
  9. Proactively find and quote additional works as required.
  10. Carry out site audits, vehicle audits, post work inspections, quotations and engineers meetings.
  11. Adhere to the Company policies and procedures, handbook and Health & Safety.

Requirements:

  • Recognised air conditioning apprenticeship and commercial experience in air conditioning.
  • Working knowledge of test equipment including an electrical multi-meter.
  • Flexible approach to travel and work hours.
  • Be part of the emergency call-out team on a rota basis.
  • Willing to undertake further training/development as required.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Must have had or be willing to have both vaccinations.
