Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Air Conditioning Service and Maintenance Technician to join our team as a Mobile Commercial Air Con Service / Breakdown Engineer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality service and maintenance to our clients' air conditioning systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend service and reactive breakdowns to fault find, diagnose and repair in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Using knowledge and air conditioning fault finding experience to provide high levels of first-time fix and customer care.
- Carry out day-to-day responsive maintenance, service, and repairs as instructed.
- Conduct servicing and safety checks on all air conditioning systems.
- Make immediate decisions regarding repair requirements should the original job order not reflect the actual works required and inform the relevant director.
- Direct helpers engaged in assembly or installation of air conditioning systems or components.
- Where a Company vehicle is provided, ensure that it is used in accordance with the Company's current policies and procedures.
- Actively take a proactive approach in finding and quoting additional works, as required.
- Carry out site audits, vehicle audits, post-work inspections, quotations, and engineers meetings.
- Adhere to Company policies and procedures, handbook, and Health & Safety.
Requirements:
- Recognised air conditioning apprenticeship and commercial experience in air conditioning service, repair, and maintenance.
- Working knowledge of test equipment including an electrical multi-meter.
- Flexible approach due to the travel aspect; this is a mobile position involving travel to multiple sites across the West & East Midlands.
- Ability to work additional hours over and above contracted hours if required, where overtime would be payable.
- Be part of the emergency call-out team on a rota basis.
- Willing to undertake further training/development within the post as required.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Must have had or be willing to have both vaccinations.
